Read about Jan's mom, Cathy, a Rosie, who inspired Jan to start the Honolulu Rosie chapter!
The Honolulu Rosie Chapter was officially awarded on March 8, 2022, which just happens to be International Women's Day!! How cool is that! Our chapter is about to celebrate our first year!
Our Honolulu chapter is affiliated with the ARRA which means, when we locate our precious Rosies, we register them so there is a record of their work during WWII so their legacy will be always be remembered and we can honor them now!
Do you know a Rosie? Contact us! We would love to get to know you and your Rosie so we can get her registered, honor her and record her very important legacy!
Eight Rosies, ages 86 - 100, were honored at the American Rosie the Riveter Convention in Tusla, Oklahoma. It was a beautiful and moving experience for our new Honolulu Rosie Chapter. We are so excited and honored to have attended and put beautiful faces to names and bonded so quickly with so many Rosie sisters. We are looking forward to participating in the December 7th Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade in Honolulu and invite all those who would like to join us to honor our Rosies. Please watch a video clip as a local television crew and Girl Scout Troups surprised our Rosie's as they arrive at the Tulsa Air and Space Museum & Planetarium.
